Job description	We seek a Design & Project Engineer based within the Marine Refrigeration & HVAC business in Glasgow. Orders for refrigeration, air conditioning and packaged chillers are obtained from the commercial and naval marine markets, which have unique standards and codes of practice requiring an in-depth technical and commercial knowledge to ensure equipment is correctly specified and contracts are profitably executed. As a result, the role demands a high level of technical and financial responsibility, together with the ability to work with customers, engineers, sub contractors, suppliers and in-house resources to ensure technical quotations and resulting projects are completed on time and budget. Duties will include: Under direction, you will be required to produce system designs and costings for marine refrigeration plants and water chillers, to plan, manage, monitor and control individual projects, to assist in achieving or exceeding sales margins whilst ensuring technical and contractual security of marine projects. You will hold an ONC (or equivalent) in mechanical or electrical engineering and have knowledge of the regulations and standards applicable to refrigeration plant and electrical/electronic controls & systems. You must be able to read and understand engineering and electrical drawings and have knowledge of thermodynamics, pipe and vessel calculations/selection and general refrigeration systems design. You will be computer literate.
