Sophistication and classic English style are the hallmarks of Brown’s Hotel London, part of the Rocco Forte Hotels’ collection and situated in the heart of Mayfair. So when Airology Systems Ltd, of Warwickshire, installed a range of Acson G Series heat pump based split systems in the hotel offices and staff restaurant, care and consideration for the interior of the building was as much a top priority as a highly efficient cooling and heating system.
The staff restaurant, and offices catering for human resources, sales and marketing, and accounts, are to be found in the basement area at Brown’s. Airology Business Development Manager T.D. Emmett said that this location made it difficult for cool air to circulate around the interior. “The problem was that the office and administration area was below ground level,” he explained. “It didn’t allow the cold air in or the heat out, so during the summer months it could be very hot for people working there.”
Airology recommended Acson A5WM25GR, A5WM15GR and A5WM10 GR series units, running on refrigerant R410a, for the project. With the hotel renowned for its traditional English elegance, the sleek, wall-mounted G Series units more than matched their surroundings. Concealing the pipework between the floors also ensured the installation met with the approval of the customer. Mr Emmett said: “We are very pleased with the results. The job was completed in three to four weeks and the Acson units fully complement the interior of the hotel.”
Acson G Series units boast a raft of features including a negative ion generator, fitted as standard. This allows a negative ion shower to be released into the room, creating a refreshing and clean environment. A NanoShield filter effectively eliminates harmful airborne elements, combining the powerful sterilising and deodorising effect of nanoSilver and nano-Photocatalyst. The G Series also has the benefits of enhanced skew fan design. This unique design provides improved sound quality while its larger diameter creates better airflow.
If there is a power failure during operation, the unit automatically restarts at the last setting condition when power is resumed. The G Series is compatible with Acson networking facilities and can fully integrate with Acson’s other equipment via the optional network PCB. The energy efficient G Series has a maximum A rating and Coefficient of Performance of 3.5.
